In-Network TRICARE Doula & Certified Lactation Counselor
About Kyndrick
Meet your Doula & Lactation Counselor
My journey into birth work began after watching my nephew be born. I thought birth was something to be feared and avoided.... but I was wrong. I witnessed first hand how powerful and beautiful birth can be with the right team by your side.
Over the past three years, I've had the honor of supporting families across the U.S. and even in Tanzania, gathering a global perspective on what it truly means to stand beside someone during one of life's most transformative experiences. From cozy home settings to busy hospitals, each birth has taught me that no two journeys are the same — and that’s exactly why I prioritize customized, evidence-based care for every client I work with.
My approach is simple: Support that feels personal, never prescriptive. Preparation that's simple, never overwhelming.

Frequently Asked Questions
A doctor or midwife provides medical care during pregnancy, labor, and birth, things like monitoring your health, managing complications, and delivering your baby. A doula is not a medical provider, but instead offers emotional support, physical comfort techniques, and guidance to help you feel informed and confident. Think of your doula as your personal birth coach. Someone who is there just for you (and your partner), no matter how or where you give birth.
Research shows that having a doula can lead to shorter labors, less need for interventions, lowers the risk of having a c-section, and more positive birth experiences. A doula provides continuous support, helps you navigate decisions, offers comfort techniques, and makes sure your preferences are heard. Whether you’re preparing for a medicated, unmedicated, hospital, or home birth, a doula helps you feel calm, supported, and empowered.
Absolutely! A doula supports all types of births, including medicated births with an epidural. Even with pain relief, you’ll still benefit from having someone by your side to explain options, adjust your positioning, support your partner, and advocate for your preferences. A doula helps make sure you feel cared for, respected, and confident, no matter how your birth unfolds.
Doulas aren’t just for birthing people! We support partners too! We give your partner ideas for how to help, take the pressure off when they need a break, and make sure they feel involved and confident. Many partners say having a doula actually strengthens their role, because they can focus on connection instead of worrying about what to do next. Want to take it to the next level? In my Comfort Measures Class, I will teach you and your partner the hands-on techniques that I utilize as a Doula, so your Partner can support you right from the beginning.
Yes! While I serve families locally in El Paso, TX, and Fort Bliss, I also offer virtual doula and lactation support. That means you can still have guidance for pregnancy, birth prep, and postpartum care, no matter where you live. Through video calls, checklists, and personalized support, you’ll still feel connected and cared for from afar. Have TRICARE? TRICARE will also cover virtual lactation consults in the TRIWEST region.

If you want a Doula by your side, don't worry! We've got options for that too. All of our packages include detailed meetings where we will go over all of the information in these docs and more in a hands-on, in-depth way to make you as informed and prepared as possible.
Definitely. Even if you don’t want a doula for your birth, you can still benefit from prenatal education, lactation counseling, yoga, and postpartum support. I offer classes, one-on-one guidance, and resources to help you prepare for birth and recovery, without needing to commit to full doula services. If I'm being honest, I love births, but prental education is my JAM! Maybe it's growing up with a Kindergarten teacher as a Mom... but teaching, and watching families confidence grows is one of my favorite things!
Yes! I’m an in-network doula with Tricare, which means many military families in El Paso and Fort Bliss (and all of TRIWEST for lactation!) can have doula services fully or partially covered.
